Are you harmless or malign?
Are you shy or fearsome of what this light can shed on all things divine?
Are you lonesome in your purpose and bewildered by such a mind?
Or are you hypnotized by a deserted memory that is only a shrine?
Blotted selfhood casting shadows but truthfully of the same substance
Absence of a loving nature, misdirection, and feigned reluctance
Does inverted faith cause stinging pains and sharp acrid flavors?
Or are you an unfathomable soul amongst hasty and candid engravers?
A woeful heart, cold and numb but only enshrouding
A faint but solemn beat of a poet’s truth willingly clouding
An ardent passion for the veiled and all that is sublime
Still attained by a pallid flame fueled by a simple rhyme
These last words I dedicate in perfect but oppressive silence
As my love for you is vocational and an invisible celestial guidance
