A vision poem

As the unhoped for rain came down
It rendered me mad and bound
With infinite wrath and infinite despair
I fell into hell; I am hell itself and aware
A vision of a demon queen that opens wide,
the corners of my mind when I feel what I hide,
In the lowest deep where a lower deep abides;
A divine effect ripped me open while it divides
A dawn I remember, self-satisfying and sweet-entranced
When innocence and peace ruled and romanced
A secret turning in us that makes the whole universe turn
Like the wheels of time that can never burn
A love with no object, as there is no better love
So help me forget this prison I enjoy with a lack thereof

Words feed my soul, ground my spirit, and elevate me all at the same time.
