Descending Into our Own Inner Earth

transformation

Ordeals & Transformation

Usually, when we think of a transformation, superheroes or other fictional characters come to mind. For instance, Spiderman transforms drastically and adopts a completely new persona from the school nerd we all initially know him to be. Ah… how wonderful would that be?! To be transformed in an instant after getting bit by a radioactive spider, unbinding ourselves from earthly laws, such as gravity, and performing some heroic deeds in the meantime too. Another thing that comes to mind is a drastic new makeover or a new wardrobe. While these things do help boost our confidence for a while, eventually, it fades like the initial thrill of buying a new camera, a new phone, or a new car. Real transformations are actually triggered by ordeals and are very long and involved.

Now, when we think of our own inner earth, just as beneath the surface of the earth, it is a place where things get buried or where things get planted, such as seeds that we hope will grow and blossom in the spring. Other things that come to mind about the inner earth are precious metals like gold, silver, oil, and other riches. In this age of information, especially regarding the self, we have many tools we can now use to get a blueprint of our own psychological makeup and personality. Some like to dive deep into astrology, and tarot, while others prefer to study Jungian psychology or attachment theory. Someone like me likes to dive a little bit into all these things, while, of course, retaining my own discernment and what sounds useful and right to me.

ordeals

An interesting fact that I had almost forgotten from science class popped up recently in some of my research. The core of inner earth is actually the same temperature as the Sun in the sky. And this is the perfect allegory I’d like to use for this article. Although our own inner earth is pretty much a place that is dark, just as the soil beneath the surface of the planet, the deeper we go, it also becomes a counterpart to the Sun, to what is easily seen and known in the light, to our own ego. It is the identity that we don’t know about ourselves, the seed that is buried or the self that is not conditioned by survival. Just as nature easily teaches us how plants, flowers, and trees are rooted in the seed, so are we rooted in our own inner earth. So, in order to truly transform, we must descend into the depths of ourselves and call upon who we are.

A transformation demands that we go down into ourselves and awaken or reconnect with parts of ourselves or even an ancestor’s story that we may not have known existed but is not so strange after all. And often, it is through hardships or ordeals that we get there. When we are in the midst of these ordeals, such as undergoing a great loss that we did not choose but suddenly happens, or any traumatic experience, all the things that used to make sense or felt familiar in our world don’t make sense like they used to. Suddenly, the things we knew or relied on don’t feel secure as if they will last forever. So we are called to descend into ourselves and persevere even when it doesn’t make sense to do so anymore. It is a transformation that is not based solely on a realization, but a transformation you feel in your entire being and move forward with.

Observing, Assessing | Transformation & Ordeals

When there is a new invention or discovery, whether in the field of psychology, science, or art, people often fail to realize that this is not an invention perse, but the mind discovering and observing, weighing, and assessing natural law and natural phenomena. The same could be said about art or music. The artist does not necessarily create art, but art moves through them, their instincts, and the impulses of their own consciousness.

When we think of the human mind, even in more academic terms, the mind is associated with memory and the power to bring into focus various areas of thought. In the Age of Aquarius, we now have the wildly used term of multi-dimensionality. Personally, I like to use this term to get straight to the point. The mind is multi-dimensional and not because it has a particular solid form or geometric shape, but because of its ability to assess, observe, and weigh, as previously mentioned, from different angles and perspectives.

Although psychology has made significant progress in observing and discovering mental activity and various mental processes of the human mind, there are still elements and processes that remain mysterious. We can’t deny that all of our problems, even throughout history arise from the mind, and even history itself is a collection of human mistakes. And our generation is certainly not immune to these mistakes. We continue to make them, and some participate willingly, even feeling proud of their misguided choices.

Everywhere we turn, there is still more conspiracy. People are still out to get what you, me, or someone else has. Every political system, every industry, including our economy, is destroying our peace of mind. And this is because to decide freely on our destiny and what direction we want to take in life, we first have to deal with who we are. But we cannot know who we are unless we descend down into our own inner core.

Mental Confusion & Doubt

On an everyday basis, whether it is due to the nature of our relationships, work, or different problems we are faced with, we are all prone to mental confusion. This is partly because we all have a different mental structure due to our heredity, the environment we were raised in, and the different patterns of ideas that conflict with each other. Take, for instance, our fears. Fears never really have a good reason to exist. We often assume things and let our fears control our thought patterns, emotions, and actions. And if we refuse to release fear, life itself will make sure that we do. We either get sick or go through some ordeal where we are forced into a new perspective, especially in the age of Aquarius.

Lower fears have no place in the new frequencies that Earth is already embodying, largely due to the great transformation that everyone is undergoing in their own way. The same goes for when we resist receiving the things we want. We are afraid of accepting what we want because we might lose it one day. The truth is that we are all equally and purposefully created to serve in our own way with the unique traits we have. We don’t have to be or become something more or other than what we are, and that is more than enough for the common good and for the purpose of harmony to be fulfilled. Once we truly realize that, we no longer have to be at odds with others, the world, and ourselves or the unfoldment of our experience.
